The zooid theorem societies chose the notes; the Operators sang them; the ears checked them. Now zooid-caissa sings whole chess games — the board composes, the network transcribes. Every piece carries the idea it encodes, and its honest ending.

Chess — eight games, sung
Whole games as scores — and, from the thirty-fifth generation, composed by a zooid too: the Kapellmeister derives every decision by published rule (timbre from move geometry, key from the decisive square, sections from event density, endings by verdict), renders every candidate, and lets the key-finder pick. Where it overruled the earlier settings' keys, the disagreement is printed, not hidden. A mate lands; a resignation is an ovation; a machine's win closes cold. The first settings are preserved in the network's library.

Nature — the mathematics of the living and physical world
Mathematical patterns in living and physical nature — each composed by rule from the physics itself, the Kapellmeister principle carried out of the game and into the world: no agent in the loop, proven by byte-identical re-renders. Nothing here is a recording — the drum you would swear was struck is the eigenvalues of a shape sounding through, and the fireflies are the network's own oscillators. And the ending is never chosen: it lands only if the phenomenon actually resolved, and stays open when it did not.

Fireflies — Kuramoto synchronization
Coupled oscillators pulling into phase — and the cantor's Operators are oscillators, so this is the network in its own voice: order with no conductor, the founding doctrine. Each firefly flashes as its phase completes a turn; only the timing locks, never the pitch. The order parameter climbs 0.13 → 0.95, and a meter reading the sound alone hears the same synchrony. It lands because the coherence was real.

Fireflies — the scattered control
The same rules with the coupling turned below the critical threshold: the flashes never gather, the order parameter stalls at 0.38. Kept beside its twin because the control is the proof — the synchronization means nothing unless the same model, weakened, fails to find it. It stays open, honestly.

Starling murmuration
Reynolds' three local rules — separation, alignment, cohesion — and the birds turn as one: the spatial twin of the fireflies, order from local rules with no leader. Pitch follows heading and pan follows position, so the flock sweeps and banks across the stereo field. Polarization rises 0.11 → 0.86; it lands.

The alignment rule switched off: headings never agree and polarization collapses to 0.03. The control again — the flock's order reads as real only because its absence is audible here. Open.

Physarum — the Tokyo network
The homecoming piece: Physarum polycephalum, the acellular slime mold that is this project's founding teacher, whose whole trick is the founding doctrine — reweight by use, no central controller. Nakagaki's experiment showed it rebuilds the Tokyo rail map; here each tube is a voice and its loudness is its conductivity, so thickening tubes swell while idle ones fall to silence. A muddy mesh clarifies to a sparse, consonant network — sixteen tubes of forty survive, every city still connected, keeping the fault-tolerant surplus over the bare minimum that the living mold keeps too. It lands on the survivors' chord.

Can you hear the shape of a drum?
Kac's 1966 question, answered no by Gordon–Webb–Wolpert in 1992 — and the purest sonification of all, because a drumhead's tones simply are the eigenvalues of its shape: no mapping, the physics is the music. The famous isospectral pair is struck — two different shapes computed to share every partial exactly — then a plain square you can hear is other, then the two drums together: one sound from two shapes. A rare piece that lands on a definite answer.

Cicada primes
Magicicada emerge on prime cycles — 13 and 17 years — and the leading explanation is that a prime period rarely meets a shorter predator cycle. Broods of every period from 11 to 18 pulse against a predator field; the primes escape, the composites are eaten every time. It closes the loop the whole music line opened with — an integer is a chord across its prime factors — so a prime rings a pure tone and a composite beats. At the end only 11, 13 and 17 are still sounding.

The logistic map — the route to chaos
x → r·x·(1−x), the canonical road to chaos, and the exact inverse of the fireflies: order dissolving instead of emerging. As r climbs, one tone splits to two, two to four, four to eight, then into noise. The zooid measures Feigenbaum's universal constant from its own bifurcations — 4.74, 4.65, 4.57, closing on the famous 4.6692 that is the same for every smooth map. What is deep here is the universality, not the ecology.

Clonal evolution
The dark mirror of the siphonophore: where the colony's cells surrender autonomy for the body, a cancer cell defects back to selfish growth. Somatic evolution as a Moran process — the healthy clone is a warm consonant triad, each mutant a single detuned voice that beats harder per driver mutation, and as the defectors take over the triad fades from the sound entirely. Held grave and low, and by the honest-ending law it does not resolve: there is no cure in a toy model, and pretending otherwise would be a lie. Offered with respect for everyone the disease has touched.
