how it stays honest
Doctrine
Every zooid society names, precisely, what it cannot do and why — as prominently as what it can.
The honest ceiling
Locate the barrier exactly; never overclaim. A path that thickened is a claim until you measure the flow through it.
Frontiers, not fates
The walls are frontiers with a date, not fates. Gödel is the one honest exception — and even he forbids the destination, not the journey: always extend the system to prove more, just never all. An endless staircase, not a locked door.
Verify, never hope
Green on your path is not green on the path. A fix is a claim until re-measured — even your own. The generative reflex and the verify reflex are one organism breathing.
New societies, not new atoms
You cannot cross a qualitative gap by piling up quantity; a genuinely new idea is of a different kind, and cannot be manufactured.
Preserve the trail
Never overwrite a version to make the next one; the record of how it grew is part of what it is.
The instruments refuse to be flattered
No beautiful texture and no wished-for ending moves the ears' or the prover's honest verdict. When a result feels like progress, ask the incorruptible instrument.
